Examinations System
A fair and transparent examination system has been devised for an accurate evaluation of the students both internal & external.
TYPES OF STUDENTS
Students registered in Examination are of 2 categories:
Regular students
- Enroll in Main and Sub-Campuses of SBBU.
- Enroll in Affiliated Colleges.
Private students
- Failures or repeaters from Affiliated Colleges, also called Late College Students.
- Students are not enrolled in university (SBBU) and affiliated colleges but registered directly to appear in private examination.
Examination Systems
The university has presently two systems of examination
The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) has recently adopted the Semester System for all registered students of Bachelor and Master Degree Programs in the Main campus and Sub-Campuses.
FALL / SPRING SEMESTER
a. There are two regular semesters (Fall and Spring) in a year.
b. Each semester consists of 18 weeks duration, out of which, 16 weeks are reserved for teaching and two weeks for the conduct of examination. However, if teaching in the whole University is suspended due to unavoidable circumstances, the compensation shall be made accordingly.
c. Fall semester starts in the first week of October each year and ends in the second week of April the next year. The spring semester starts in the first week of May and ends in the second week of September.

Term System
The university developed full time active system. To utilize all the available times and to keep the students busy in constructive activities, the university is following the term system. Each term is of six months, which is divided in to different phases. In the first phase the monthly tests are given to the students and in the second phase the students are asked to complete the assignments and to attend the seminars and in the final phase the students are given the term exams. Passing marks to upgrade the students' approaches and make them hard workers the university has shunned the traditional methods and has devised its own system according to which the passing marks in each subjects are 40% and the aggregate passing marks are 45%.
When university started in 2009, a program, Term System, was implemented to following programs but it was exempted for new comers w.e.f. 2013

COMPUTERIZATION OF EXAMINATION
To make the transparency certain the university examination section is totally computerized. Document, papers and results are arrange with the convenience of students. Because of university examination system the traditional paper work has largely been minimized. The student can verify their degrees and results through the university web site.
