The Department of Pharmacy at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal, was established in 2009 and is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP). The Department is committed to excellence in pharmacy education, pharmaceutical research, and professional development. It aims to produce competent, ethical, and socially responsible pharmacists equipped with the knowledge and skills required to meet evolving healthcare needs.
Through quality education, practical training, and research, the Department promotes the rational use of medicines, scientific innovation, and evidence-based healthcare. Its research priorities include pharmacology, natural products, drug discovery, and emerging therapeutic approaches. The Department aspires to contribute to improved public health and the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences in Pakistan and internationally.

Programmes Offered
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.): A five-year professional degree program comprising 198 credit hours. The curriculum is designed in alignment with the curricular framework of the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and is consistent with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Global Competency Framework. Students are trained in a competency-based, student-centered academic environment that emphasizes pharmaceutical care, interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice, and lifelong learning.
